Privacy policy
Effective 17 October 2026
The short version: Antfall has no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and we never sell data. Your progress lives on your phone, and in a cloud save if you sign in. Online play goes through Epic Online Services, and signing in with Google is optional.
Who we are
Antfall is a game made by an independent developer ("we"). If you have a question about this policy or want your data removed, contact us by email at support@antfall.com.
What stays on your phone
Everything about your games is stored on your device, in the app's own storage: your name and settings, your level, unlocks and achievements, saved matches, replays and an error log. We don't receive any of it (if you sign in, a copy of your progress goes to your cloud save, below). Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes it. The error log only leaves your phone if you choose to copy and send it to us.
Playing online
Online play uses Epic Online Services (EOS), provided by Epic Games, Inc. The game connects to Epic as it opens, so online play is ready straight away (you can turn this off in Settings › Account › Connect at start-up; it then connects only when you open Play online). Connecting means:
- An anonymous account. The app asks Epic to create an account tied to this device, without an Epic account, email or password. Epic receives a device identifier and your phone's model name, and gives the app an anonymous player ID.
- Your player name. The name you choose in Settings (or, if you sign in with Google and haven't chosen one, your Google display name) is sent to Epic and shown to the other players in your lobby and match.
- Lobbies and matches. Epic hosts the lobbies you create or join (with their join code and the game version) and carries the game's messages between the phones in a match. Messages may be relayed through Epic's servers or sent directly between phones; a direct connection means the other phones in your match can see your device's internet (IP) address.
- Your looks. Your species, title, banner and other cosmetic choices are sent to the other players in your lobby so they can see them.
Epic processes this information under its own privacy policy: epicgames.com/site/privacypolicy. With Connect at start-up off and Play online never opened, none of this happens.
Signing in with Google (optional)
You can play without signing in. If you choose Sign in with Google in Settings:
- Google shows you which account you're signing in with and asks you to agree. Google then gives the app a sign-in token for that account (it carries your Google account ID, name and email address).
- The app passes that token to Epic, which links it to your anonymous player ID, so the same online identity comes back on any phone where you sign in. That phone's device identifier is then tied to the same Epic account, so the game can sign you back in when it opens without asking Google again. Signing out gives the phone a new anonymous ID.
- Cloud save. While you're signed in, your progress (level, unlocks, achievements, missions, looks, player name and display settings) is kept in a small file in Epic's Player Data Storage under your player ID, so it follows you to other phones. Saved matches and replays stay on the phone.
- The app keeps your Google display name on your phone to show you who you're signed in as. It does not store your email address, and we never receive the token, your email or your Google data.
- We only ask for basic sign-in (your account ID, name and email). We don't access your contacts, files, Gmail or anything else in your Google account.
Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. Signing out in Settings stops the app using your Google account; you can also remove Antfall's access at any time from your Google account's connections page.
Signing in with Apple (planned)
A future iPhone version will offer Sign in with Apple, handled the same way: Apple's sign-in token goes to Epic to link your online identity, and we don't store your email. This policy will be updated before it's released.
Season clock and this website
To keep the season track on the right day, the game asks a public time server for the current time (Cloudflare, falling back to WorldTimeAPI). Nothing about you is sent; like any website, the server sees your device's IP address. This website is hosted by Cloudflare, which handles requests the same way.
What we don't do
- No advertising, and no ad or analytics tools of any kind.
- No selling or renting of personal information, and no sharing it with anyone except as described above (Epic, to run online play and sign-in).
- No in-app purchases.
- No collection of location, contacts, photos or microphone.
Children
Antfall isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. Children can play without signing in and without playing online, in which case nothing leaves the phone.
Removing your data
The quickest way is in the game: Settings › Account › Delete account deletes your cloud save, unlinks Google, forgets your online identity and erases everything on the phone. See Delete your account.
- On your phone: uninstall Antfall or clear its storage in your phone's settings.
- Google sign-in: sign out in Settings, and remove Antfall from your Google account's connections page.
- Your Epic player ID and cloud save: contact us by email at support@antfall.com and we'll ask Epic to delete the account linked to your player ID.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top and, for anything significant, mention it in the game's What's new screen.
